DEMO DAY!

When we bought our cute little house on a half acre we loved it! But mostly I loved it for the potential it had. I said from the beging that I needed a kitchen to look out to the family room. Not only for the open concept look but so I could see my boys. That was crucial! Considering I am in the kitchen most of the day it was so important for me to see them. With this house, we could make that happen! So my very sweet husband who didn't want a "fixer upper" fell in love with this house as well and let me do whatever! (I have such a good husband!)
Lets just say after three electricians (because the first one screwed us) countless trips to home depot, lots of construction workers, plumbers (who also made huge mistakes) a handy man and painters (thank goodness our realtor paid for someone to come paint, we would have never gotten it done!!). Many hours away from our boys and lots more money than planned. We have an open kitchen to the family room, a pantry!!!! & a very happy happy me! I'm in love. We still have finishing touches that seem to never get done but it's a whole new house & I couldn't be happier!

BEFORE.

nasty texture on the kitchen wall. ugh

Men being men. looks so much better already!! Now for paint....
This paint thing ps. is no joke. it took FOREVERRRR.

AND THEN.... DEMOOOOO DAY! I couldn't be more excited & nervous. If only I had Joanna Gaines... (Fixer Upper genius) But let me tell ya these guys were like my best friends when they left. even though we had A LOT more work left, I could finally see my vision I had been dreaming about for three months! (yes three lonnngg months)

Building my pantry!!! I can't even explain. If you are a mom, you would understand the importance of space for food! it makes the world of difference.

Painted all the ceilings, walls and trim! Still have half the kitchen to paint, a second coat in the laundry and the doors.... it will all eventually get done... right?!

Oh & did I mention that I am seriously IN LOVE with my sink! Like its an obsession. and it was only 45 dollars!... this was only one of the many trips to lowes...

Now for the clean up, the patching & the painting. After pictures coming soon!!

xoxo, Chelsey
